Anime Frontier, still being in its infancy, was a huge breath of fresh air for me unlike Anime NYC absolute mess (and ironically ran by the same organizing company, so I was on-guard initially). My party members started moaning about lack of things and panels to really do, but why else do you go to cons than shopping, cosplaying, and making friends? And the making friends part falls apart very quickly when the total number of attendees exceeds a comfortable limit for the space available, as well as having too many panels that people end up Britishly queuing for hours on end. A.F. was perfect in this regard and oddly scheduled Friday night after-party only solidified my mission out there. Can’t beat bumping into new friends and acquaintances hung-over the next day all around the con – and that’s how we did it a decade ago all across the east coast before our shindigs overgrew their capacities.
And without further ado – Friday and Saturday shots from my godly GFX 50R:
